Pack your hospital bag.
The big day is coming, and packing your hospital bag is part of the exciting journey! While there’s no right or wrong way, we’ve got a few tips to make sure you and your little one have a smooth, cozy start.
To pack for your baby (think 2-4 changes approximately):
-
Soft bodysuits (easier during diaper changes)
-
Pants with cuffs or a comfy jumpsuit
-
Tiny socks for sweet little feet
-
A snuggly baby blanket
-
A thin hat for indoors
-
Baby mittens (to keep those tiny hands from scratching)
-
Outerwear for the trip home (adapt to the weather)
-
Bottle and formula (if needed)
-
A pacifier (just in case)
-
Diapers and wipes are provided, but bring extras if preferred
Other tips for the hospital:
-
Carseat if you're going home by car.
-
Baby carrier or a baby wrap (if your partner has to go away for a while and you are alone with the baby at the hospital).
-
It is good that your partner has the most important things with them to be able to stay at the hospital if necessary and not have to go home to collect things. Outfit change, hygiene items and mobile chargers. And energy-boosting snacks so they don't have to leave the room during labor.
